Vintage synths, New synths, The sounds of the great bands are linked to the electronic keyboard. Just ask Pink Floyd.

I started with Midi in 2000, I never looked back.

Now I have a "One (Old) Man Band" with my Yamaha PSR-9000. I do my own arrangements for all kinds of music, edit them in Cakewalk, I play guitars or bass over the midi tracks played by the Yamaha over a huge sound system. Sounds better than a band.

bit late joining the party! Using an e-mu x board 49 with ableton at the moment, tis good for what I do which in all honesty is not much! I've got an m-audio fast track for the guitar but either my pc is rubbish or the fast track isnt up to it so I've got latency issues. In the past i've had a bit of a mish-mash:

Roland D50
Yamaha DX21
Yamaha TG33
Korg EA1
Zoom 323
Kawai K1
Boss DR550
Alesis MMT8 and the Alesis drum machine that was from the same line
Roland MC500 mk2
E-mu Emax 2

Favourite thing out of that lot was probably the Emax 2, I had plenty of fun with it, without actually making much music!
