Parker guitars ??

Postby Easto on Sun Nov 21, 2010 2:41 am

I have no experience or know of the "lore" behind these guitars. Other than playing one for a brief few moments in a music store years ago. What exactly is their attraction?

I'm not trying to stir the pot or piss anyone off, I just never felt they were worth the prices I see them go for.

If you have a bad back, these guitars are gold. But I'd go for a PRS Hollowbody II if I really wanted a lightweight guitar.

I have tried these guitars as well years ago, but didn't feel the attraction. But several of the older guitar slingers seem to use them.....I seem to remember Mark Farner and Wally Bryson using Parkers.

IMHO, I think the Parkers could use a 'makeover.' If a guitar does not at least look cool, why play it? Lots of great guitars out there that play great and look great. Just saying..... :2cents:
