Aladdin's cave of tech books online - and free!

Whenever someone who's interested in building/maintaining their own gear asks me "What textbooks should I get hold of", I hit a problem. Most of the ones I learned with are venerable, out-of-print tomes from the 1930s-50s, and the current ones are damned expensive to buy.

Not any longer! Meet Pete Millett. His...er...'hobby' is to take really good electronic textbooks and scan every page, then provide the entire books as free downloads. The books he uses are either out of copyright or donated with the copyright holder's permission. It's a fantastic list and growing by the month. Now that's what I call a must-have resource! 8)

Great that someone took the time...and, as you say, did not break any copyright law in the process.

Just stumbled on this, Vortexion, whilst digging into negative feedback as I reduce it on my YGL-3.
That is an awesome (over-rated word, but appropriate here) site with great stuff.
Someone said sticky it - couldn't agree more.....
