JBL 120F-6 ??

That elusive piece of the overall equation, so many options and so little time to test them all — Celestion, Fane, Eminence, Jensen, JbL, Utah, Ceramic, Alnico, 1x12, 2x12, 4x12, 2x10, 4x10, 1x15, 2x15, 4x15, 1x18 and I'm sure there are even more!

Does anyone know anything about this speaker. Was given to me by a family member. I can't fine this specific model anywhere on the net. The OHM tag say 8-16?? which is it?

Any info would be helpful.

thanks

Stick a meter across the terminals (lowest Ohms setting) and see what DC Resistance reads. If between 5-6 ohms DCR, it's an 8 ohm (impedance) speaker. If in the 12-ish ohms DCR range, it's 16 ohms impedance.

If you don't already have a digital multimeter, any cheap one should work for this task (like $6 or free with the right coupon at Harbor Freight).

Is there an extended (whizzer) cone on this speaker or just the traditional aluminum dust cap?

So would anyone know what one of these is worth if I decide to post on Ebay or Reverb.com?

Sure that's not a d120f? those go for around 200 to 300. Great speaker...

The ability to play/make music is a gift that not everyone gets. Those of us who have it should use it.
