Why did Gibson do this?

Postby Mayhawk on Sun May 01, 2016 12:23 pm

Other than the usual 'Gibson has gone nuts,' any ideas why Gibson produced this guitar? Am I really just stuck in my ways, and some guys (or gals) are really digging this guitar?

Split headstock, single volume knob, low price, nice looking wood.....I could have gone for this as a traditional V, but not this odd configuration. Looks like an ergonomic nightmare.

Presumably someone just having a giggle or to keep up with the like of Dean's etc.

Personally I am not a fan of pointy guitars (unless you include SGs) Vs never feel comfortable to me, wouldn''t mind a Firebird V.
All bleeding stops.......eventually.

I'll go with the crazy/run out of good ideas explanation.

I actually like them (sorry, lol) although I wouldn't bother buying one just because it wouldn't fit in a stand...

that plus you can get an agile for 1/10th the price of a gibson and they work *just as well*

I have both and I like the agile just as much.

in fact, AllOfASudden I think I need to go play it

NOW!

The ability to play/make music is a gift that not everyone gets. Those of us who have it should use it.

Never mind the guitar--Why'd they go and ruin a perfectly good case?
