VOS SG

Postby tenchijin2 on Sat Aug 28, 2010 11:18 pm

I had a chance today to compare the Epiphone G-400 SG, the Gibson Faded SG, and the Gibson VOS SG. Big sound difference between the epi and gibson. The playability and feel weren't seriously different so the P-ups must be the difference.

I definitely preferred the sound of the Gibson. More bite, more high end, and more gain. Now I have to figure out if the $600 gibson is close enough to the $3000 gibson in quality and sound.

No, there are not close in sound
I had a gibson 62 sg and now a VoS 62 sg and the second is triple better in sound, tone, sustain than the first.
