Ian Hunter Band - Feat Mick Ronson...... Rockpalast DVD

Some of Ronno's finest playing IMHO. Fluid, Relaxed and Great Tone as always from a very humble and extremely gifted guitarist, arranger, producer.
Bowie without Ronno was never the same.

Just goes to show a lot is down to the player !!! He commented in an interview that gear didnt interest him, as long as it worked.

HA!

Reminds of a Lennon quote, interviewer - "John, what type of amplifier do you prefer?" John -"one that works...."

The next question would be is what pedal was he using for dirt? I have owned several twins over the years and they don't even begin to break up until your ears are bleeding, even then, not the type of sound he was getting with that LP.

Reminds me of an interview I read with some famous producer:
Q: how do you record a great snare drum sound?
A: first you write a great song.

Another Classic from Ian Hunter with Ronno looking every inch the Rock God he was. Again such effortless brilliance on guitar.

Note...... Ian using Mick's LP Custom.
