It's been a project acquiring and having them refurbished to operate like new, but it has been SO worth it! :)
They are a circa 1938 44BX and a 1950 77D

Nice!!!
I have more gear than I need...but not as much gear as I want...

"Roll over Woodstock - we won!" & "Music is life, and life is not a business." (Iggy Pop 3/15/10)

"but lately one or two has fully paid their due for working for the clampdown...HAH, Gitalong, Gitalong"

"I believe, believe, believe, that there's better days ahead. I believe, believe, believe, that there's a heaven before I'm dead."

"I'll play for free but I gotta get paid for breaking my s**t down at the end of the night"

A big 44BX and BK11 fan here...
But I love 'em all...

Here's a collection that a friend of mine recently inherited from his father...
I had never laid eyes on a KU-3A before, and 2 show up at the studio doorstep...

I wound up with the 44--a lovely sounding mic...

I have no experience with the BK11.
Clarence Kane told me he doesn't like the "new" models like that ! :laff:

The BK11 is my favorite of the bunch...
Just a great sounding mic, and kind of a sleeper...
Folks have found out about them in the past few years, so prices went up accordingly...
