Vintage 1963 Vox AC30 amp Copper top blue Alnicos. Albion tr

This nice 1963 JMI copper top ended a few days ago. Hammer went down at GBP£1,850 (approx. US$2,775). Probably a fair price.

Better to post items before they sell rather than after the fact, so members can discuss and be alerted should they be interested in bidding.

Thanks for that but, unfortunately, I wasn't a member of this forum when the auction ended. I posted the information because I believe that there is still value in having a link to the photos and a record of the hammer price for future reference. For example when someone asks next week, "what's the going rate for a vintage 1963 Vox AC30 amp with copper top, blue Alnicos and Albion transformer?"

Fair enough. But generally all those inquiries are covered by the experts in the Vox section who are up to speed with current market values.
Same with the Marshall , Fender, Hiwatt , Orange etc sections.

O.k. I'll get myself up to speed with the netiquette on this forum eventually! :D

I was thinking that it's cool to have access to the photos too.

Don't worry about it. I think its fine to discuss current & expired ebay listings here. Its a great place to discuss things for sale or recently sold!

Where did you get your exchange rate at? xe.com says that is approx $3,094

Okay, but not great, price if you're an American and need to pay to get that beast to the States, imo.

Exchange rate? I just use £1.00:US$1.50 as a quick conversion factor because it's not been too far from that figure for many years.

Cheers buddy. It's always an interesting experience joining a new forum when you've got plenty of experience in similar fields and seeing the difference in the way some people respond to you.
