Sound City 4x12

Postby velatones on Thu Jul 12, 2001 7:52 pm

I've found a Sound City 4x12. It has what look like four Fane speakers (metal dust caps).
Three of the four speakers are torn and would probably need reconing, but one of them looks okay.
There's no grillcloth, but the 'Sound City' badge is fixed in the middle of the cab, offset to the right. The guy who has it says that it was always like that (anyone confirm this?)
Anyway, if anyone wants it, give me a shout - I know what you SC nuts are like ;)

hrm... the shipping on this cab from UK -> US would be worth more than the cab in this condition... and considering that it'd be IMPOSSIBLE to find the grillcloth, I think I'll pass on that one.

Painterman,
Did you get my message about the 15" Pre-Rola Celestions I've found for you?
Email me if you want them.
So, if the cab originally had cloth, why the logo on the baffleboard?

If I knew I could recone the three ripped ones for a *sensible* amount, I'd keep the cab as I've always fancied a Fane-loaded 4x12.
Anyone got any ideas on approx cost from someone in the UK?
