Check this out...
I can't believe how much the high bid is for this thing. I reckon now might be the time to sell my own poorly L100 (suspected OT, but still estimated to be putting out 20W).
It's probably something really simple, but I'm sick of it :(
There are some healthy L120's FS locally for the £150 mark, so I might look into one of those.
I'm getting a 50W Traynor later on in the week too, so that should be interesting :D

Go for it. With these idiots anything goes. Did you see the Plexi Marshall PA head minus everything for over $400?
But if you bought this one, you might have a good opt. Might...
chris m

Chris,
Buying a replacement Partridge OT wouldn't be a problem if I had a mind to do so, but I'm really not that bothered.
The Audio Brothers sell replacements for £83.
Ebay here we come

I don't think $133 is a lot for that chassis. Heck if all it needs is a PT and tubes. It will only cost you another $150 And then all you have to do is spend an afternoon making a box for it.
Ian, Was your Soundcity working when you first got it? I think I remember you were very happy with the sound. Did it just stop working correctly? If ya lived state side, I'd buy it off you.

The way I look at it is he does not guarantee the opt as good, there are no shots of the circuit board, it is missing the two plugs for voltage and impedance, and there is funkiness with the normal volume hole being plugged, presence is either a jack or busted pot, and the light is gone. All it has going for it that you know is there is the bare chassis, some of the knobs and the jacks. All else is speculation. And for me $130+ is too much for so little.
chris m

I agree with ChrisM, That thing isn't worth that much But thats me. I was going to bid yesterday but it was over what I thought a fair price was($75.00).
Ian, Don't you dare sell that amp!
and if you do I'l be over in September to pick it up. :D
(How close are you to Rockingham?
Heck how close are you to Silverstone?)
I was going to drive down to see the chassis. I want to see what the back panel is, mine doesn't have that.
Alot of parts look missing.

Nate,
I'm in no hurry to sell that amp. If you're coming over in September I'll keep ahold of it.
Newcastle will probably be a couple of hours drive from the places you said, but it'll be worth it to hear those Selmers fired up
;)
BTW, my SC doesn't have a back panel either - very common for old amps to have these missing unfortunately.
