L150 Redo

Hi everyone; I have finished the 150. It sounds very good and strong, a little noisy but not as bad as most active pre models. The mods were not too bad to remove and with the new tubes and caps I think it will live long and rock. :jam: :jam: :jam:

Good job !! This amp went to the right person--- I wouldn't have been able to get to it for who knows how long--- how did you re-do the s/n sticker on the back panel where the extra jacks (mod) used to be ?..................................................gldtp99

Thanks for the encouragement, being new to repairing amps I'm happy with the results. The s/n thing I had a label come off my b100w and I scanned it into photos and now I can modify and reprint as needed. Stan :D :D :D :D

Hi I really can't say but it looks like either effects or tone mods. There were 3 additional inputs wired separatly to 3 separate tubes and circuit boards. I didn't try them because they looked kinda Mickey Mouse and I didn't want to risk letting any smoke out.
Papa Dog; I have a MK3 100 face plate for you if you want it, send me a PM with shipping info and I will send it too you.
Also if anyone has a 120 case they are willing to part with PM me with the details. Stan :jam: :jam: :jam: :D :D :D

Stan,
I got your package.
Thanks a bunch man, that face plate will make a worthy addition to the archive, and as soon as I have it scanned in, I should be able to do a small order to have "new" repro's on hand for anyone who needs one.
In the meantime, what sort of pentodes were in those sockets? If they wer EF86s or EL84s please do get in touch, unless you already have a use for them.

John
