Removing tone knobs from circuit?

I recently purchased an Agile Les Paul copy that I'm interested in removing the tone knobs from the circuit with - is it really as easy as opening up the cavity cover and snipping the wires leading to the tone controls?

Assuming that you have the "Gibson" style wiring, you can snip the lead from the volume pot to the cap that's connected to the tone pot, or you could lift the ground from the tone pot. Another option would be to change out the stock tone pot for a push/pull (switched) pot that would allow you to bypass the tone pot when you want it out of the circuit and still have it available when it's desired.
