Beginner bass amp suggestions

Postby Easto on Tue Feb 02, 2010 8:44 pm

Hi,

Someone I know just began playing the bass and seems to be getting along pretty good. I'd like to buy them a combo bass amp but I'm not sure where to begin. What's the best bang for the buck under $500? Carvin / Fender / Ampeg ???

Thanks,
Easto

Second hand Peavey. $500 will get a pretty big amp.
