Pulled some cool Bassmans out of the closet . . .

. . . to put on TV!

1964 transitional "tuxedo" Bassman head into a 1981 2 x 15 cab jumped into a 1962 Bassman combo. When was the last time you saw some of these on TV???

Was on the local CBS affiliate Saturday morning promoting our gig at a city-wide arts festival Saturday night. I figured nobody would really be watching that program . . . until I got to the festival and people were coming up to us on the street saying they saw our band on TV and wanted to check us out. Crazy!

Cool rig!!!

Yeah, they do sound great with bass . . . up to a certain level. Although, I am going to try some Scumback 55hZ bass speakers in the 2 x 12. I have a pair of original Jensen Alnico 12's in there from a '57 Twin now. I had to be REAL careful not to blow them up. That's the main reason I brought along the '64 transitional with my 2 x 15 . . . to add some ambiance and oomph to the set. Sounded good. Will have DVD in hand so hopefully I will get it up on youtube before long.

Is that one of the Duff McKagan-style Precisions?

Those are cool.

Yep . . . the "G-N-R" bass. I bought mine in '91 new. It is an '89. Never knew it was that "G-N-R" bass until years later LOL! And I even saw GNR back in the day

A friend of mine used to have 2 of those basses- I'm not a huge fan of a lot of "new" basses (I like that "woody" feel), but those are really cool- McKagan aside...
