anybody have one of the new Fender American Standard Precision basses?
good, bad, indifferent?
1971 Ampeg V-2, (Linden N.J. era)
1973 Ampeg V4-B
(2) 1973 Ampeg V-4 4x12 cabinets
2009 Fender American Precision Bass, Olympic White, Maple Neck
1975 MXR Script Distortion +
TS-808 RI (Keeley mod)
1997 Gibson SG-1, Black
1980 Boss Compression/Sustainer CS-1, Long Dash, Silver Screw, s/n 9900
1980 Boss Chorus CE-2, Long Dash, Silver Screw, s/n 0000

I tried 5 or 6 out late last year, wasn't impressed and went with USACG.

The necks seemed week and thin
Frets where thin and tiny
They had a consistency of deadness to them
The paint on the body seemed to stick to my forearm

Maybe their not all like that, but it seemed like allot of money for something so bland.

are you talking about the "new" 2008 American Standard P-basses?

really trying to find something close to the vintage 62 reissue p bass as far as quality, nitro finish etc. but the 1 3/4" neck is way to wide for my hands
