Played the Marshall VBA 400 Sunday

The festival we played at had A SS Ampeg or the VBA for backline .We took the VBA.It sounded pretty good to me.Great ROCK tone & power.I'll keep my eyes open in Europe for one.

One of my bass players has two of those bad boys. One head drives an 8x10" cab and the other head drives two 4x12's Great Marshall bass tone without the Jack Bruce farting sound. Also a bit lighter in weight than an SVT.

I just bought a 60th Anniversary SVT Classic on clearance at a local music store that was bought out by GC. HEAVY! GOOD LORD! I thought my Majors were bad . . .

It does sound real good for a "new" amp though. I ordered the RI 8 x 10 cab to go with it. Will use mainly for rentals, bacause I sure as hell don't want to lug that monster around every week.
