EB Musicman Questions

Postby PRSdork on Thu Feb 23, 2006 10:43 pm

So I just recently found a Musicman 5-string in a pawnshop, I'm curious about it but I don't know much about Ernie Ball basses, or bass guitars in general. I did notice that it didn't seem to have a decal on the headstock, should that set off a red light?

What should I look for?

Definitely beware. There are knock offs out there, for example... I happened to run across the "Arbor", a Music Man copy. Some have decals to id them as not EB, but I noticed that some didn't. Everything else looked like the EB musicman guitars.. oval pickguard, etc. Check it out real close... tuners, pups, etc.

Oh oh... we can't edit again for some reason. Just wanted to suggest that you do some research on Ernie Ball basses... or anything else, for that matter, that you may consider buying. Ernie Ball has a whole slough of differtent music man models... so there should be some way to identify which model it is.
