Coyote connections......

Postby soloshot on Tue Nov 15, 2011 12:13 pm

Someone correct me if I have this wrong........If I'm useing a guitar with single coils I should probably use 'high sensitivity'jack on front panel?
Does it really matter which jack is used for different type pickups? For example, if I plug a humbucker equipped guitar into the 'high sensitivity'jack, will this be a problem. Or, if I plug a Stratocaster into the 'low sensitivity'jack, will this reduce the output volume?
Or is it a matter of the tone that is achievable from the different jacks?

Sorry if this has been discussed previously.........Thanks

nothing set about going one way or the other based on your pickups. just try both with all of your guitars and see which ones sound better.
I normally go into the high sensitivity inputs as my pickups are normally low output and it helps drive the front end. But again, no rules, go with what sounds good.
