Paul Gilbert. Especially the Racer X stuff. Check out the guitar solos on "Live and Loud."

Chris Impelliteri, but I can't find any decent source for his albums.

NOW WE GOT US A THREAD!!!!!

Wow, so much great guitar work mentioned.
Greg Howe, kills; good call.

How's about:

1. Jeff Watson! He's even guested on some Steve Morse tunes. Killer playing! Name a tune, even a sappy Nightranger tune. "Don't tell me you love me". Now THAT's shred. I wanna get some Mother's Army, too.
2. Morse, of course. "Southern Steel" and Stressfest" are great.
3. Still love Yngwie's "Black Star"
4. Scorps "Live Tapes". LOVE Uli.
5. Jeff Kollman. My bud, the Classic Rock DJ played a recent UFO CD on the way to a Frampton show. WOW! So I got one of Kollman's CDs.
6. Dokken. ANYTHING, but especially "Beast from the East". George deals, man.
7. Steve Lukather's CD "Luke".
8. Any Eric Johnson (though it's probably not offially shred)
9. Any Extreme. Nuno is waaaay BAD. I know, he not cool anymore. I do not care.
10. Frank Marino, especially "Mahogany Rush Live".
Waaaay cooool old school shred.
Just 10 that came to my mind....

Impeliterri.
He had a Christian Rock band in the mid-late'90s. He's frightening!! I liked him alot.
Wonder what he's up to?
