CD not working in computer WTF?

Postby DanTheBluesMan on Tue Nov 19, 2002 12:12 am

I just went to play a ZZ Top greatest hits cd in my computer's cd-rom player. Nothing happened. Tried the menues, etc. Put another cd in, worked as its supposed to. The non-working cd is a recent purchase. Could it be a 'protected' cd? Do you mean the bastard record companies won't let us listen to our cds while using the computer? BTW- this is a compilation from their first 3 albums, and it rocks. Works fine in my car. Pretty dangerous trying to surf on a laptop while changing lanes on Rte 128 'round Boston.

It may not automatically play. If your using Windows, go to: My Computer and right click on the drive that the cd is in and select "Play".

This happens to our demo's we burn sometimes.
I think the computer needs to see some track info etc. instead of just being able to play the cd without thinking.
