The ability to play/make music is a gift that not everyone gets. Those of us who have it should use it.

Asimov:Individual science fiction stories may seem as trivial as ever to the blinder critics and philosophers of today — but the core of science fiction, its essence, the concept around which it revolves, has become crucial to our salvation if we are to be saved at all.

Nobody ever plays "Run Through The Jungle" on the radio. I wish there was a 30 minute jam mix version of that tune. It makes the hairs stand up on the back of my neck.

"Put a Candle In The Window" good lord, that song can move me to tears in the right mood.

In the only band I've ever played in, once I managed to get them away from their KISS tribute obsession "Fortunate Son" was the second song we added to the setlist (after BTO's "Taking Care of Business.") That opening riff is unmistakable but where, how did he come up with it? I've been trying unsuccessfully for some years now to locate our guitar player and that is one song I really want to play again.

I don't have a lot of heros anymore. Most are dead, others have discredited or disgraced themselves. Mr Fogerty is one that I really would like to meet someday.
