A little more info on Blast of Silence from a thread I did back in 2009 when it premiered on TCM's Underground segment, complete with trolling from a person named Miss Goddess (think there's a problem there? :nutjob: ) who questioned why such a dark, depressing, film like this should be made:

Oh yes 'Rare Exports' Is very bleak, don't let your youngsters watch it. I'll have to run that again..;)

Jamie, When I first watched that movie I had no idea what it was about. I just knew it was a quasi science fiction movie. It just got weirder and weirder. I mean here is this naked bearded guy in a box who can smell children. When I realized he was one of Santa's elves I just lost it.

Great movie for the holidays. A real warm and fuzzy Xmas film, Lol!

It's got to be the most twisted Christmas story ever. It was a creative work for what it was. If you have toddlers, a better option would be Santa Claus Conquers the Martians..;)
