Black Sabbath Sound Demo ala Dirty Boy

Sabbath Demo Clip using the Dirty Boy Amp

Used this Carvin SH550 Guitar, Cascade Fathead II with Lundahl LL2912 transformer upgrade and a Neumann U87 with Apogee Mini-Me Preamp on Logic Pro 8.

Dirty Boy Head straight in, no pedals at all, just the guitar and a Mojave 4X12 cab with our X pattern mixed speakers for the Dirty Boy, G1230H and WGS Reaper 30 55hz.

Special Thanks to Steve Ouimette who did the drums for me. Bill Ward was doing his best drumming in 75 and I couldn't pull it off, but Steve Ouimette did the whole track, beat map and all in an afternoon. In his sleep. Plenty of practice doing Guitar hero games year after year!

My friend who owns a studio in town let me use that U47 for tracking all my vocals on my upcoming album. No one can afford one of those these days but you could get a Peluso copy.

I also Borrowed the U87, I would probably be inclined to try hard and find one. If there is a guy on this forum and he is interested in a TRADE, I have some very cool stuff. Call me.

Very cool tones, and well played. I must admit I am very critical of sabbath covers, since they're usally overplayed, overgained and underfelt. Good job here!

I'll most certainly take that as a compliment  . I never knew that Sabbath was overplayed but I picked one of my older favorites that was the perfect place holder/showcase for the amps tone. It's a tall order to meet that challenge tone wise knowing what he really used, so if there is a respectable, maybe unique compliment tone here, I feel that I have met the objective of showing the amps wide abilities.
