HELP. My amp sounds like its gargling when I play.

Sorry for the cross post. I turned on my old Fender and my guitar sounds like its gargling with mouthwash through the speaker. Really weird. I tried new pre and power tubes to no avail. Any suggestions would sure help.

ya,signal is disrupted somewhere...i had a Hiwatt do this recently,i knew the standby switch was on the way out, sprayed some contact cleaner/lubricant in there all is well but the switch still needs to be replaced....could be anything in the signal chain, trace the schematic and check every stage, welcome to tube amp troubleshooting...the good thing is it can be fixed good as new unlike most electronics these days....

Seems I had a bad solder joint on a cap. Works like new again. Thanks everyone for the help! :D
