Step down transformer recommendations?

How can you get a great tone without a good understanding of what makes your amp tick? — EL34, EL84, 6L6, KT66, KT88, 12AX7, 12AT7, 12AU7, EF86, Output Transformers, Power Transformers, Capacitors, Resistors and everything else that it takes to make a tube amp sing!

Step down transformer recommendations?

Hi all. I'm going to need a step down transformer to power my Pro Junior amp in Africa. The Pro Junior needs 120V at 60 Hz and runs 70 watts. The standard voltage in Ghana (where I'm going) is 230V at 50 Hz (like the UK). Can you recommend a place In Canada or the US that sells an appropriate step down?
BTW, I'm looking for an external transformer - one that plugs into a wall outlet and then the amp plugs into it.
- Is it necessary to get one that converts frequency or adds stability?
- Would a Variac work?
Thanks a lot.
