Kustom IV Lead

Postby jmoore44 on Sun Jul 31, 2016 7:32 pm

Hi guys,
Just bought a Kustom IV Lead amp head and matching IV Lead 4x12 cab from Goodwill for $80. Good condition and everything works great. Plugged it in and it worked perfect. I know it's from the late 70's and its 276 watts. Other than that does anyone have any info about these Kustom amps ? I haven't found a single picture online that looks like mine.

I found this, but yours doesn't have the EQ.

I have a Kustom 415B cabinet. Wich was built for the Kustom IV bass amp. I'm not sure if there is any difference between the lead and bass amp.
Yes. Found a pic of the bass head. It's called bass. So should be different. If anyone wants a picture. Let me know.

These amps were the last of the true Kustom amps. It is an amazing design. As were all the older ones. I would love to know who designed it. With those large caps inside it was able to react much like a tube amp. And would sound amazing with alil of hair.

This is an 4x15 inch speaker bass cabinet. It's not small by any means.
