Hi

Mahogany was asking about the first Elgen Bass Amp.....Well I think you'll find that Nick Simper (ex Deep Purple/Warhorse/Screaming Lord Sutch etc.) owns it and is still using it,and sounding terrific!

His guitarist,Pete Parks also has a lead version that also sounds great.

Nicks site is nice for anyone interested in early English rock.

i'm stuck in the middle of a circuitboard design that I have to get out by Mon, but I'll get the Elgen 'Lead' 100 sch into proper CAD by Mon or Tue if anyone is interested in a clean .pdf.

Terry (tubetramp) is having a problem w/ his Bass 100, but I'll prob get to that later this year to sort out.

Paul has some GREAT shots of the Lead 100 that he sent me...
PM him or me......they're great hi res shots of the tagboard, so they're big files in a zip file

any Elgen owners have any hi-res amp porn of the tagboard and pots they can share? I'm done w/ the schematic for the Lead100 (Swarty, there's one more change to the tone stack, I'll email you a revised sch)
I'm finding HUGE discrepancies in the Bass100 version.....
Any help appreciated.
Thanks!

I'd love to have my amp tech build me a clone - PMing for a schematic!

I Bought an Elgen Studio 50 with 2 x 12" Fane Speakers at the bootfair for £35 in minty mint condition !!
Not a single mark or tear on it, not even on the speaker grill cloth !!
It works apart from a loud hum when you plug into Channel one, which I'm told 9 times out of 10 is down to the earth connector on the Reverb unit. When I can get the rubs together I'm going to have it properly serviced.
Not a huge amount of info on these and it looks like they're as rare as rocking horse poop.

Is this worth good money?

Cheers
