Does anyone know how to date Goodmans speakers?
Below is one of a matching quad in a 4x12, each has the same stickers on

I'd say much earlier than that. The green label indicates a 25 watt model. By 1977 Goodmans 12Ps had red labels and handled 50 watts. I bought a new pair of Goodmans 12P in 1972/73 and I'm fairly certain they had the red labels. Sadly Goodmans never used a recognisable date code so it's features like the label and chassis colour that have to be used to date their speakers.

Thats for that, I'm sure they are original to the cab, was hoping to be able to prove it!

They will be original.

They do not have date codes unfortunately, but you can date them approximately by their cosmetics. Those green labels are circa 1969 to early 1970's. Because before 1969 (roughly) they came with the large silver labels and slightly different back cover, like this one:

Also people always compare them with the 50W 12P models. They are not the same, and they are not a '12P' model. Different spec. Selmer used to rate theirs at either 15w or 30w depending on the magnet size. Lots of different speaker specifications exist with differnt cones and voice coils, although they might look the same from the back.
