ProAmp Viper 1x12" 60W amp

Helped to move a dear old guitar buddy of mine. We played together for many years. In the attick there was, covered with dust, the guitar amp he used to play. I said: "that's a museum piece, you sounded so good with this amp". He said: "It's yours". I said no, but he insisted. It's a 1983 hybrid ProAmp Viper 1x12" 60W channel switching amp (2x USA GE 6L6GC) with original foot switch. Back then he changed the speaker into a Celestion SP12-150, cause he considered the stock speaker too weak. (The gain channel has red skirted stacked knobs)

Does someone know what the stock speaker was back then?
The gain switchable channel doesn't work, though the led on the footswitch is on. Am I doing something wrong?
Can't find no schematic on the net, who knows where to get one?

The amp is laying apart now for a clean up. When this is done I'll post some pics.

Clean up and channel repair are on the way. This pic is from the internet. Same amp, same footswitch.
